Carcassonne Airport Trains

Carcassonne Airport serves the Carcassonne City and towns like Pennautier, Villemoustaussou, Pezens, Ventenac-Cabardès, Montréal, Cazilhac, Caux-et-Sauzens and Alzonne. At the airport, there is no train station for passengers. The transport services of taxis and buses can be availed in order to reach the train station. The urban transport system of Carcassonne, Anglo’s Bus services can take the passengers to the city train station. Depending upon the traffic conditions, the Anglo’s Bus available out the airport takes about twenty to twenty five minutes to arrive at the centre of the city.

Getting to the by train has been made easy by the same bus service for passengers approaching the airport from the Carcassonne train station. Before one and a half hour of flight departure, the bus stops at the railway station while passing through the city. From the train station, the bus reaches the airport about one hour before the flight departure, providing the passengers enough check-in time before the flight departure. In some cases, taxi can also be a cheaper form of transportation from train station to the airport. While costing about €12.00, it will take only ten minutes for a taxi to reach the airport terminal. Therefore, getting to by train has also been made possible by the taxis.

The TGV trains and TER Languedoc-Roussillon trains serve the Carcassonne train station. From the train station, passengers can travel to the cities of Bruxelles, Lille, Lyon, Dijon, Toulouse and Marseilles by using TGV trains, while the passengers can travel to southern France areas such as Marseille, Toulouse, Narbonne, Perpignan, Cerbére, Quillan and Limoux by using TER services. In France, an advance reservation is required for TGV trains. Passengers can also purchase tickets for the majority of the trains on the day of their travel. For Paris, the Corail Lunéa couchette train, which travels overnight, is also available to the passengers.
